Repairs started on Historic Fishing Boat "Valiant" RX90
RX90 - Valiant - part of the Hastings Fishermens Museum Collection Work started on 14th January 2011 on the repair of the historic fishing boat RX90 "Valiant", an exhibit at the Fishermen's Museum. She was moved to Steve Barrow's boatyard just before Christmas and on Friday two students - Lewis Smith and Shane Bracey - from Sussex Coast College Hastings - joined Steve to learn boat repair skills. This project costing £26,000, has been funded by local and national charities, the Stade Education Project and the Fishermen's Museum. The "Valiant" is an important example of a local boat built in 1953, she worked off the Stade for 46 years and was acquired by the Museum in 1999.
