We have a very large archive with a wealth of information of Hastings and the surrounding areas, Street Directories, physical past editions of the Hastings and St Leonards Observer, photographs, (to name just a few), anything you can think of that would assist you in either researching your family, history of your house, area, whatever you can think of our expert team of volunteers can probably help you…and if they can’t help they will point you in the right direction.
We also have new and second hand books for sale covering local history as well as other subjects. Feel free to come and browse.
We are on one level but the entrance may be tight for wheelchairs. Please do call ahead of your visit for further information.
No need to leave your furry friends behind or walk past our door as you will find we are dog friendly! The only thing we ask is just let us know if they have an accident: we’re well equipped to deal with those awkward moments!
