Join us at the History House, 21 Courthouse Street on December 9th at 4pm as we will be celebrating the Christmas Season with a talk by Marilyn Saklatvala on Anne Lister’s visit to Hastings. The diary Anne kept is full of local colour – tradesmen, holiday habits, walks etc. If you are wondering who she is, the TV series Gentleman Jack was based on her life. She visited Hastings for five months from 1831 to 1832.
